Adidas and Bayern Munich today launched a special kit to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Olympiastadion Munchen Stadium in Munich. The Munich Olympic Stadium was the main stadium for the 1972 Summer Olympics and was the home stadium of FC Bayern Munich from 1972 to 2005.
The design of the jersey is inspired by the world-famous roof design of the Olympic Stadium and draws on the vivid colors of the surroundings of the stadium. The Adidas logo, club badges and sponsorship ads line the front of the shirt.
The number 1972 is flashed behind the ball collar to commemorate the year the Olympic Stadium was built. White shorts and socks complete the image of the German football king.
