As Chapeco celebrates its 105th anniversary in the western state of Santa Catarina, Umbro teamed up with Chapecoense to unveil the team's new home and away kit for the 2022-23 season in tribute to the city. The new kit was released on a special day (10 May), the 49th anniversary of the club's founding.
The New Jersey inherits the club's traditional colours of green and white, while incorporating aesthetic details based on the city's history, with the side pattern inspired by the local "Kaingang" culture. Inside the collar, the famous slogan "Somos Todos Chape" still blares, while the feathers represent the club's mascot, Indio Conda.
On the outside, on the hem of the shirt, there is an icon with the number 105 as the main body, showing the name of the city of Chapeco and the outline of its administrative division, the years 1917-2022, and the club's famous ACF insignia.
The debut of the New Jersey is scheduled for Friday, May 13, when the Chapeco host Sport Recife in the seventh round of the new Brazilian second division.
