New Balance have teamed up with Portuguese club Porto to unveil their new away kit for the 2022-23 season.
The design of the Portuguese Kings' new shirt is inspired by the club's success at home in recent seasons. "Azuis e brancos" were crowned league champions in 2011, 2018 and 2020 and lifted the Taca de Portugal and Supertaca Candido de Oliveira trophies, These successes have often been marked by players wearing yellow jerseys.
The champion shone on the classic yellow jersey, with twilight blue trim on the collar and light grey on the cuffs.
Toni Martinez, the Porto striker and New Balance signing, said: "Porto FC has the best expeditionary fans. We always feel their support wherever and whenever we play, so it's great to see the strength of our followers recognised through the brand new away kit."
Kenny McCallum, general manager of football at New Balance, added: "FC Porto is an extraordinary football family that spans languages, cultures and borders. New Balance was inspired by the meaning of this community and created a New Jersey that recognizes the importance of this unity."
The release is part of New Balance's "Unbreakable by Nature" campaign for Porto's new season. Inspired by the unique style of internationally renowned photographer Justin Bettman, New Balance worked with Justin to extend its creative vision, not only to showcase the new design, but also to highlight the connection between the club and the city.
New Balance has applied leading edge design technology to all 2022-23 series jerseys to ensure superior athletic performance. The jersey equipped with NB Dry technology helps to absorb and expel sweat, keeping the human body cool and dry during sports, and helping athletes to focus and perform well in games.
