PUMA, the world's leading sports brand, and Spain's Liga Liga today officially launched PUMA ORBITA LaLiga, the official match ball for the 2022-23 Spanish First and second divisions. Starting with the concept of "when it's not in the feet, it's in the head", the new PUMA ORBITA LaLiga ball highlights the emotions football evokes in the hearts of fans through an engaging and passionate design.
Inspired by the magical visual effects of a kaleidoscope, the new PUMA ORBITA LaLiga combines elegant and psychedelic color patterns with the white main color to highlight the movement of the ball and enhance the visibility of the ball in today's more intense competition, while reflecting the unique position of football in the hearts of fans. It's a symbol of the wonderful experience that football brings to the world.
As a FIFA certified match ball, the new PUMA ORBITA LaLiga uses the most advanced technology to create a perfect ball shape, ensuring integrity and reducing water absorption. The sphere is interlinked by 12 unique star segments, reducing the number of joints in the whole sphere and thus better fitting the inner liner. In addition, the use of POE foam will increase the player's touch sensitivity, combined with the rubber liner and PAL (PUMA Air Lock) valve core for a more stable touch and more controlled rebound performance. The 1.2mm 3D PU shell texture utilizes aerodynamics to further enhance durability.
PUMA ORBITA LaLiga will launch simultaneously in eight countries around the world: Spain, South Korea, Egypt, the Philippines, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa and Thailand. The launch of the Spanish region will take place at LaLiga twenty nine's, a newly opened restaurant on Madrid's Granvia Boulevard. The interior of the restaurant has been redesigned to match the unique style of the new game ball, and will provide a rich and fun interactive experience for fans in attendance. Oscar Mayo, the executive manager of La Liga, and Daniel Moreno, the head of PUMA's sports marketing team, will unveil the stadium star for the 2022-23 season.
