PUMA, the world's leading sportswear brand, and Mamelodi Sundowns, the South African Premier League (PSL) champions, have jointly unveiled their new home and away kits for the 2022-23 season. The new jersey design was inspired by the team's bold "We Rise Again" message when confronting their fiercest rivals.
The new kit features heavily African-inspired vessels, embossed images of antelopes, war drums, horn cones and warriors, a theme reinforced by the African silhouette in the club's acronym MSFC.
The new jersey is designed to celebrate Mamelodi Sundowns and their achievements in South Africa and across the continent. The jerseys tell the story of the former Sundown team's battles against rivals on the continent in an African narrative style, making the team also part of a long history of heroic warrior families. The Warriors' desire to win never waned and the warning to their opponents was straightforward: "Only the sky is the limit for us and Masandawana will rise again!"
The five-pointed star above the club's badge represents Sundown's victory in the 2016 CAF Champions League, and the green and white design of the home collar and cuffs is inspired by the club's Chloorkop training ground, which is at the root of Sundown's ongoing success.

The new 2022-23 Mamelodi Sundowns jersey will come in two versions: the player version will feature ULTRAWEAVE, PUMA's lightest ever performance jersey fabric, and the fans version will feature 100% recyclable polyester fabric paired with classic dryCELL Sweat Removal Technology.
