Adidas and Juventus have jointly unveiled their new away kit for the 2022-23 season. In a departure from the classic striped theme of the past, the crisp black jerseys are designed to capture the mysterious magic of night games in an ingenious way that echoes the team's DNA.
As a symbol of magic, the star element represents the club's long history and has been used in all of Juventus' jersey designs this season. The stars of the away kit were replayed in a bold and subtle way, with the fabric decorated with a charcoal-grey starburst pattern that contrasted with the black undertone of the kit. The white details on the collar, sleeves, shoulder stripes and logo are more conspicuous against the black, presenting an elegant temperament and revealing the identity of Juventus.
"The atmosphere of a night game is completely different from that of the day," said Marco Omiccioli, senior designer at Adidas. There's something mysterious in the air about night games, like magic, and it's exciting. We want to capture the shared feeling that Allianz Stadium gives at night and infuse that into the away kit, uniting fans and players, wherever they are."
The new jersey is made of 100% renewable material, equipped with Adidas' innovative HEAT.RDY technology to promote sweat and air circulation, create a dry and comfortable feeling, and help players cool and confident on the pitch. The fans version of the jersey uses AEROREADY technology to create a dry body by absorbing sweat and keeping fans prepared.
The new away kit will be worn for the first time on July 22 during Juventus' 2022 summer tour.
