Adidas has teamed up with sporting goods distributor 11teamsports and Fortuna Dusseldorf to unveil the team's new away kit for the 2022-23 season. It is the first of three shirts for the new season, complete with white and red patterns.

A modern stripe pattern can be seen on the front, incorporating the club's traditional red and white colour scheme. The three Adidas stripes on the collar and shoulders are all red, and the club's famous "F95" badge is embroidered on the chest. On the back of the collar, the club's founding year "1895" and the name of the city "Dusseldorf" are displayed.

As with last season, with their new shirts, the club and its partners are not only setting new fashion trends, but also role models for sustainability. The kit is produced according to special sustainability standards and is made from 100% recycled polyester, which is also used in other Adidas equipment and apparel for the club.
