Nike and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) have unveiled the new home and away kit for the Singapore men's and women's national teams for 2022-24.
The Lions (Singapore Men) will be unveiled in their new kit on Saturday (Dec 17) in A FIFA A friendly against the Maldives national team, The team will also embark on the stage of the 2022 AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup with a new look.
Like the last series of national team jerseys, the Lionesses (Singapore Women's Football Team) features the same new look and offers tailoring to fit the figure of a female athlete. These improvements will greatly improve athlete comfort and achieve optimal athletic performance.
The new home jerseys combine Singapore's iconic colours with youthful patterns for a brand new sporting look. The red color pays tribute to brotherhood and equality, while the contrasting white trim symbolizes purity and virtue. The details of the collar and cuffs also highlight the red and white flag of the young and emerging country.
The new away kit is based on a vivid competitive blue background, backed by an abstract blue zigzag line pattern. Reflecting the Football Association of Singapore's brand colour, blue also celebrates the passionate and proud history of the Lion City.
"When I unwrapped the jerseys, I was immediately drawn to them," said Stephanie Dominguez, the Lionesses' co-captain, who attended the photo shoot. The designs of both jerseys are unique and stylish, especially the patterns and details incorporated into the away kit. More importantly, the women's jersey offers superior breathability and shape, making it easier to run on."
