"WITH OUR FANS BEHIND US, WE ARE NEVER FAR FROM HOME." -- Inspired by manager Thomas Frank's words, Umbro has teamed up with English Premier League club Brentford to unveil the team's new away kit for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.

The light blue shirt, with its embroidered castle Badge on the chest, is an easy reminder of the club's away kit from the 1980s and early 1990s, and is yet another over the years that will be used for two consecutive seasons.

The Castle badge was introduced in 1975 as a tribute to the “Fortress Griffin Park”, the name given to the club after a record 21 home wins in the 1929-30 season. The club used the Castle Badge for a total of 18 seasons from 1975-76 to 1992-93. The club resurrected it for the new season, symbolising that with the help of the fans, the team can build a solid Castle on the competition.
With a stylish design and a comfortable feel, Umbro's new kit gives Brentford's players the chance to play with abandon on the pitch while ensuring the fans can have the same fun cheering from the stands. The shirt also has a ribbed collar and cuffs with the club's inclusive slogan "Bee Together" on the collar and a matching Bee logo on the back.
Jon Varney, the club's managing director, said: "The Castle Badge holds a special place in the hearts of many of our fans and the shirt gives us the opportunity to relive this period in our history while recognizing the positive impact the support of our fans has had on Thomas and the team, especially away from home. Last season we took the unusual decision to extend our home kit for another season to provide more value to our fans and help reduce carbon emissions by extending the life of the kit. Feedback from our supporters has been very positive and we have decided to apply the same approach to the new away kit. I know we have a long way to go in our commitment to sustainability across the club, but this simple behavior will inspire people to think differently about how to reduce their impact on the planet."

The all-new away kit will be used for friendlies against VfL Wolfsburg and Real Betis on 23th and 30th July respectively.
