Nike and FC Barcelona have jointly unveiled the team's new third kit for the 2022-23 season.

The new jersey stands out with its distinctive design, inspired by the Creu de Sant Jordi (Cross of St George), to mark the 30th anniversary of the club being awarded the order of the same name. More than that, the design reflects Barcelona's commitment to social issues, diversity and inclusion as part of its "Más que UN Club" motto and core values. So players from the Fundación Barça Genuine team will be featured alongside the men's and women's first teams, The third shirt will be worn by Xavi Hernández Barcelona and Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in a friendly tonight local time. The race was promoted by Juan Carlos Unzué to raise money to fight ALS.

Unlike last season, the new third kit will not be restricted to European matches, but will alternate with the home and away kit in different competitions. The design is also a radical departure from previous jerseys, with a large red and blue cross painted across the chest on a light grey base instead of the classic striped style. This unconventional design represents a break from the traditional Barcelona stripe style.

The club's commitment to society is also reflected in the design by highlighting the St George's Cross. 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the Catalan government awarding FC Barcelona the Cross of St George in recognition of its contribution to the well-being of society, its leadership in the promotion of sport and its values related to sport, civic responsibility and the spirit of solidarity, an honour that sets Barcelona apart in the sporting world.

These values were reflected in the way the jersey was presented. Not only will the men's and women's first team unveil the new jerseys, but for the first time they will be presented together by the boys' and girls' Barcelona foundation for mental retardation, who, remarkably, have been playing in the national LaLiga Genuine Santander league since last season.

The jersey launch was made up of players from the Barcelona Foundation for Mental Retardation, among them were Adrià Alonso, Jenifer Cabanillas, Marc Cutillas, Montse Durà and Manel Solà and Miquel Chavarria, And pro stars Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Ansu Fati, Caroline Graham Hansen and Aitana Bonmati Bonmati, Ingrid Engen and Mapi León.
These men, who appear in posters wearing their new jerseys, are different but they are also footballers and heroes who convey the same spirit of sportsmanship and commitment on and off the pitch.
Nike jerseys are produced sustainably, with both the player and fan versions made from 100% recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. Plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down To make high-quality yarn as part of Nike's "Move To Zero" commitment To sustainability.
