Adidas and the Argentine Football Association (AFA) today unveiled Argentina's new away kit, which will be worn by the country's players during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Adidas sees the jersey as a canvas for creativity, hoping to capture and deliver the cultural story of each country by incorporating elements that are representative of the local culture.

For the first time in history, Argentina will play in purple jerseys inspired by gender equality, an initiative that incorporates the values of diversity and inclusion. The "May Sun" pattern on the back collar echoes the home shirt, and the flame burning on the body is also from the "May Sun". The integration of innovation and tradition is intended to encourage the team to do their best, but also to convey the pursuit of fairness in football.

Guided by the new slogan "El Sentimiento de UN Pais" (" The Emotion of a Nation "), which was introduced when the home kit was unveiled in July, the new kit is designed to pay tribute to Argentina's national feelings and identity and help unite all the teams and fans of the AFA. Soccer is a true Argentine tradition, and whenever the national team plays, Argentines gather with family and friends in front of the television or in the stadium.

The jerseys are made from recycled polyester and are designed to highlight Adidas' ongoing commitment to helping end plastic waste. The player version is comfortable and breathable, with 50% Parley Ocean Plastic. The Marine eco-friendly material is sourced from remote islands, beaches, coastal areas and coastlines in an effort to reduce Marine pollution. Each jersey is made of innovative Adidas fabrics, including light thermal transfer design and HEAT.RDY thermal technology to help players stay cool and comfortable.
