The German brand first supplied the Bicolor outfit between 1978 and 1981, when the team wore Adidas jerseys at the World Cup in Argentina. The team later wore Adidas jerseys in qualifying matches for the 1982 World Cup in Spain and the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
