Adidas has teamed up with Manchester United to launch their new away kit for the 2022-23 season. The new kit borrows rich graphic elements to reflect on the classics while creating a stylish look for fans and players on the road.
Back in the club's long history, the 2015-16 season saw United once again use classic white as their away kit. For the first time, the shoulders are decorated with black and red two-tone and three stripes, echoing the main color scheme of the shirt, a new interpretation of the classic style of Manchester United.
The fabric contains an implicit spiral texture, inspired by the DNA of the Manchester United shirt and its iconic pattern. The streamlined lines are meant to evoke elements of United's 1990s kit. The new away jersey is made of completely recycled material, equipped with Adidas' innovative HEAT.RDY HEAT protection technology to promote sweat and air circulation, create a dry and comfortable feeling, and help players to play confidently. The fan version of the jersey is made of AEROREADY fabric, which absorbs sweat and creates a dry body feeling, so that fans can be prepared.
United play Crystal Palace in Melbourne on July 19 as part of their pre-season tour.
