With all the focus on the club's badges, New Balance has teamed up with Ligue 1 club Lille OSC to unveil the team's new third jersey for the 2022-23 season, with the tiled golden retriever pattern standing out on the black kit.
For the New season, the New Balance continue their long tradition of deep black and elegant gold, this time in Lille's third jersey. Unlike previous designs, this time the gold is presented in a tiled pattern and gradient effect, emphasizing one of the symbols of the Lille club, the hound of strength and courage. And the higher up they go, the more they stick out.
This is the first time the Hound has featured on Lille's jersey, but since the club's founding it has served as an important symbol that unites players and fans as a family.
Details including the club badge and sponsor logo are finished in gold, and the cuffs are decorated in the club's original red and white colours.
Kenny McCallum, managing director of football at New Balance, said: "The jersey allows us to crystallise Lille's unique identity and its relationship with the city's glorious past. The New Balance black jersey is a new take on the club's classic style and will help the players make a strong impact on the pitch."
The launch is part of New Balance's "Family of Dogues" campaign for Lille's New season. Inspired by the unique style of internationally renowned photographer Justin Bettman, New Balance worked with Justin to extend its creative vision, not only to showcase the new design, but also to highlight the connection between the club and the city.
New Balance has applied leading edge design technology to all 2022-23 series jerseys to ensure superior athletic performance. The jersey equipped with NB Dry technology helps to absorb and expel sweat, keeping the human body cool and dry during sports, and helping athletes to focus and perform well in games.
