Adidas and the German Football Association (DFB) today unveiled the German national team's new home and away kits for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Adidas sees the jersey as a canvas for creativity, hoping to capture and deliver the cultural story of each country by incorporating elements that are representative of the local culture.

In particular, the new home kit, which will be worn by the German women's national team for the first time in their 2023 Women's World Cup qualifier against Turkey on September 3, will serve as the joint home kit for both men and women.

The new home jersey of the German national team is synonymous with elegance and team spirit. Inspired by the team's first shirt in 1908, the chic black strip runs vertically across the front of the white shirt, while the gold national crest is centered on the chest with the Adidas logo. The crewneck and side details are decorated in the colors of the German flag, while black shorts and white socks complete the high quality home image.

"It's a cool and powerful signal: it's a sign that we all represent the game, live the same values and share the same goals. We want to succeed and be a role model for the millions of girls and boys who share our passion for the game, "said Lina Magull, a member of the German women's national team." We look forward to wearing our common uniform at the 2022 Men's World Cup and the 2023 women's World Cup."

"I really like the new home shirt, the colors are just right and it will be a great honor to wear such a shirt for Germany at the World Cup," said Serge Gnabry, a member of the German men's national team.

The new away kit for the German men's national football team features a red-and-black colour scheme and a modern vibrant pattern on the front and sleeves, inspired by the Deutschland initials' D ', as well as the triangular shape of the DFB logo. The gold national team insignia sits side by side with the Adidas logo in a classic fashion on the chest, while the same three gold stripes on the shoulders complete the look.

The away kit will be paired with black shorts and black socks with a red decorative motif. In addition, the German women's national team will continue to wear mint-green European Championship away jerseys.

When it came to unveiling Germany's new kit, the Three Stripes chose an unconventional approach. Even before it was released, hints of the New Jersey could be found in some social media videos by German rapper Pajel. The artist previewing his new song "So Wie Wir (Like Us)", which was Made specifically for the launch of Germany's new kit, was premiered at the Adidas Made Originals event in Berlin on March 27 and is now available on all streaming platforms.

The jerseys are made from recycled polyester and are designed to highlight Adidas' ongoing commitment to helping end plastic waste. The player version is comfortable and breathable, with 50% Parley Ocean Plastic. The Marine eco-friendly material is sourced from remote islands, beaches, coastal areas and coastlines in an effort to reduce Marine pollution. Each jersey is made of innovative Adidas fabrics, including light thermal transfer design and HEAT.RDY thermal technology to help players stay cool and comfortable.
