New Balance, in partnership with J-League side FC Tokyo (FC Tokyo), unveiled the team's new home and away kit for the 2023 season. The famous J-League club will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023 and the new kit will continue to pay homage to the iconic wide red and blue stripes on the team's home kit.
Taking inspiration from the classic designs of New Balance through the ages and inspired by the street fashions of the 1990s, the new jerseys are decorated with elaborate jacquard patterns. The front of the home shirt features the signature wide stripes that represent the four main lines of the team crest and the collared design that was popular in the 1990s when the club was born.
The away kit for the new season has two broad light grey stripes on the front and back, again representing the four main lines of the club's identity.
Both the home and away players' shirts are made of large mesh breathable fabric, while effectively reducing the weight of the shirt.
New Balance applies leading edge design technology to all new season collection jerseys to ensure superior athletic performance. The jerseys equipped with NB Dry technology help absorb sweat and keep the body cool and dry during exercise, helping athletes focus and perform better during competitions.
