Adidas and Cruzeiro EC today unveiled the team's new white away kit for the 2022-23 season. After the centenary, the kit returned to the club's traditional colour scheme (blue and white), as well as the re-introduction of the first crest since the club changed its name to the present 80 years ago.

The New Jersey is predominantly white with blue on the sides, with lapels for both men and children, and blue accents for the Adidas logo on the chest and three stripes on the shoulders. To bring more variety to the New Jersey, the women's version has a white V-neck that follows global trends.
As a supplement, a special icon of the club's old and new insignia combined on the back of the collar celebrates the 80th anniversary of the name change of Societa Sportiva Palestra Italia to Cruzeiro.

Reflecting Cruzeiro's unique identity, the new shirt was filmed against the backdrop of the graffiti art wall at the club's headquarters, celebrating Cruzeiro's signature achievement and fan base. And the stars of the event are fans already in Heaven, like Grandma Miracy, who died in 2021, and the son of Pablito, both of whom posed for jersey ads in front of the wall.
The jersey will be exclusive to Cruzeiro. Cruzeiro's branding department has created unique letters and numbers that echo the club's communications and marketing themes. A font called "Resplandece" is presented in a vintage style inspired by club logos and spelling from the 1940s.

"The shirt combines two really cool things, namely the history of the club and the best sports equipment technology," Cruzeiro's commercial director, Lenin Franco, commented, "These pillars make the white shirt an effective way for the club to grow its shirt sales revenue while still holding on to its memorable past glory."
