Nike has teamed up with FC Barcelona to unveil the team's new home kit for the 2022-23 season, inspired by Barcelona's Olympic City, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the successful hosting of the Games.

The evocative New Jersey revolves around the concept of "The Flame Lives On," evoking the spirit of renewal and redefinition that marked Barcelona's welcome to the world.

Thirty years ago, with the Olympic Games, the city took a big step toward modernity while maintaining its spirit and roots. As this period is also a time of transformation and change for the Barca first team squad, the club would like to look back and share this Olympic spirit by looking to the future.

For the first time, the front of the shirt features the logo of the club's new main sponsor, Spotify, while the back bears the United Nations Refugee Agency (ACNUR) logo below the number in solidarity with refugees.

The Games not only brought social and cultural changes to all Barcelona residents, but also brought growth to the city. The creation of the Olympic Harbor and the remodeling of the Olympic Village connected the city to the sea and gave it entirely new infrastructure, such as the Palazzo SAN Giorgio Gymnasium, Norman Foster's Corcerola Tower, or Santiago Calatrava's Monte Whitge communications Tower. These buildings are now part of the public's memory and open up new green landscapes and urban routes. The Olympic spirit flowed through the streets of the city with a sense of pride that continues to this day.

The new home shirt design evokes the new light of Barcelona through the creation of new Spaces and the connection with the sea. The flash of different colors can be seen on the edge of the shirt. Red and two shades of blue -- navy and light blue -- complement each other to highlight the design concept.

Nike jerseys are manufactured sustainably, with both the player and fan versions made from 100% recycled polyester, made from recycled plastic bottles.

Plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down To make high-quality yarn as part of Nike's "Move To Zero" commitment to sustainability.
