Nike has teamed up with Spanish club Atletico Madrid to unveil the team's new home and away kit for the 2022-23 season.
The design of the home red and white jerseys was inspired by the winding river that flows through the legendary Estadio Vicente Calderón; The away kit is presented in dark black with dark blue and light blue details.
The design of the new season's home jersey is inspired by the red and white memory of the river Manzanares. Thousands of Atletico fans remember their time on the riverside, where the Calderon STADIUM was originally named after Manzanares. The red and white passion is also on the new jersey with the winding red and white stripes to continue the team's story with the Manzanares in a new way.
The new away kit features a dark black body with dark blue and light blue details, while the shorts and socks are in the same colour combination.
Nike jerseys are produced sustainably, with both the player and fans versions made from 100% recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. Plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to make high-quality yarn as part of Nike's "Move To Zero" commitment to sustainability.
