Adidas and Arsenal Football Club today unveiled their new away kit for the 2022-23 season, which will be worn for the first time when Arsenal take on Orlando City SC on Wednesday, July 20. It was also Arsenal's first match of the tour.

The new season's away kit combines the classic Cannon emblem with a metallic copper trim and is emblazoned with the "AFC" logo in black and charcoal grey -- inspired by the team's themed lettering that fans see on their way to Emirates Stadium on match days.

Adidas design director Inigo Turner commented: "The new away kit incorporates elements of the Emirates Stadium, allowing players to feel the glory of the home team by 'carrying' a part of the home side with them even when travelling away."

"Whether they're walking down Tollington or walking down Blackstock Road, fans have a unique bond with the Emirates. The streets, the brass cannons and the concrete "Arsenal" are what make the Emirates such a distinctive landmark, one that is meant to belong to the community and the fans. We wanted to incorporate these elements of North London into the design and dedicate it to Gunners all over the world."

Both player and fan versions will be available. The player version of the jersey is equipped with Adidas HEAT.RDY technology, which optimizes the fabric to increase the surface air flow and reduce the temperature and sweat. It provides the wearer with a sense of comfort at all times and helps the player maintain a cool and confident state on the court. The fan version uses AEROREADY technology, which uses sweat-wicking fabrics to help the wearer stay comfortable and face challenges at all times.
