Adidas has teamed up with reigning Dutch champions Ajax to unveil their new home kit for the 2022-23 season. The most impressive detail about the New Jersey is the subtle incorporation of gold, which has appeared on the jerseys since the partnership began with two five-pointed stars above the jersey's crest, and has since been expanded to three -- all symbols of the team's championship status.
Gold will also be found on the collar and cuffs, as well as in the silhouette of the advertisement on the front, and the players' names and numbers will be printed in gold retro lettering on the back.
For the new season, the home kit is made of 100% recycled material and features a V-neck design with original details, such as fine lines in white and an embroidered tag at the hem, featuring the Amsterdam flag in plain colours, including the famous three St Andrew's Crosses.
The home kit is matched with white shorts and socks, and as a nod to the details, the new season's socks can also be found with three St Andrew's Crosses embedded in the red ring pattern.
