Adidas has teamed up with 1. FC Union Berlin to unveil the team's new second away kit for the 2022-23 season.
The new kit has a decent black design, punctuated by bold red and grey markings, symbolising the spirited game being played on the football pitch. The club's traditional red is reflected in the famous three stripes on the collar and shoulders, and the alternative kit will be paired with black shorts and socks.
The new shirt will make its debut this afternoon in a friendly against Regionalliga side FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin.
As with last season, with their new shirts, the club and its partners are not only setting new fashion trends, but also role models for sustainability. The kit is produced according to special sustainability standards and is made from 100% recycled polyester, which is also used in other Adidas equipment and apparel for the club.
